The image above inspired my designs for my activity book. I love how simplistic shapes and lines are placed together to create an overarching theme/vibe. I wanted to imitate these in my designs so that the accompanying text heading can serve as an entry point into each page and body text can explain any vital details the viewer may need context of. The linework is both neat and imperfect, which could translate into a rustic and undefined artistic style. it also reminds me of childhood when one is learning how to draw, and the lines are only slightly bent, showing progression over time through practicing a skill.  


For my project, I chose to add color to some pages and some designs. The color is representative of some design theories or imagery that need context deeper than what is on the page. The consumer should be able to or could learn to distinguish the different colors and their meanings as part of completing the activity(ies) in the book. I also chose to slightly change the theme on a few of the intro pages based on my definition, my understanding, and chosen execution of my creative thoughts. I think the eccentric and minimalistic font choices exaggerate and highlight the use of typical words in a meaningful way.
